Day 1 Travel Day (D)
Leave home today and travel across Iowa and
Illinois as your tour director makes the miles
fly by. Enjoy a welcome dinner in a Chicago
restaurant as your first “taste” of the city.
Day 2 Chicago City Tour / Federal Reserve
Bank / The Oprah Store / Lincoln Park Zoo /
Lincoln Park Conservatory / Sears Tower (CB)
Begin the day with a guided city tour as you
get acquainted with the city. Stop at the Federal
Reserve Bank and see a million dollars up
close. Enjoy shopping time at Oprah’s new
boutique, The Oprah Store, her first freestanding
retail store. Next visit Lincoln Park
Zoo, a world of wildlife under the shadow of
the city skyscrapers. Step inside the Lincoln
Park Conservatory and be transported to a
world of tropical ferns and exotic plants from
around the world. Take a trip to the top of
the world when you visit the tallest building
in the Western Hemisphere – the Sears
Tower. Return to the hotel and take some
“R&R” after a busy day of sightseeing.
Day 3 Chicago River Cruise / Optional
Sightseeing / Tommy Gun’s Dinner / (CB, D)
Begin your day with a narrated cruise on
the Chicago River. Enjoy the remainder of
the day on your own. Optional Sightseeing
offered includes: Navy Pier, a Segway Tour
of Lake Michigan and Millenium Park, Field
Museum, Shedd Acquarium, or shopping
the Magnificent Mile. This evening enjoy
dinner and entertainment at Tommy Gun’s
Garage, the music and dance review that
includes gangsters and flappers at a local
“speakeasy”. (Sign up for one of these options

Day 4 Frank Lloyd Wright Home & Studio /
Graue Mill / Heartland International
Tattoo Music and Dance Festival (CB)
Stop in Oak Park, Illinois and tour the Frank
Lloyd Wright home and studio and get a
glimpse of his “prairie” design homes. Visit
the Graue Mill, the only operating waterwheel
gristmill in Illinois. Learn about its role in
slavery, and how it is one of the only remaining authenticated
“stations” on the Underground Railroad. Tonight attend the 2010 Heartland International Tattoo Music and Dance Festival. The only musical Tattoo of its kind in the Midwest, this tradition is an event that honors all U.S. and Canadian military music units as well as international entertainers. The show will dazzle with more than 250 musicians, singers and entertainers that include military and civilian brass bands, drum corps, wind bands, bagpipe bands, drill teams, flag corps and an array of dancers. This night of patriotic music will absolutely thrill you.
Day 5 Mystery Tour Stop/Travel Home

Travel home today with wonderful memories
of your visit to Chicago. The fun is not over
yet, as a mystery tour stop will be waiting for
you at your lunch break. Then head home
with fond memories of your Chicago and
Heartland Tattoo holiday.
Day 3 Options
1. Navy Pier – With over 50 acres of parks, promenades, gardens, shops, restaurants and attractions. No charge.
2. Segway Tour – Experience the coast of Lake Michigan on a Segway – today’s newest innovation in individual travel. Take a two hour guided informative tour that will take you up the Gold Coast of Lake Michigan past some of the city’s most breathtaking views. Price not available yet.
3. Field Museum or Shedd Aquarium - The Field Museum is home to the world’s most famous dinosaur - Sue. From Ancient empires of civilization to the natural and cultural history of chocolate, your visit will entice you to learn more about our world and its existence. Or, be face-to-face with a man-eating shark at the Shedd Aquarium. Price not available yet.
4. Shopping on the Magnificent Mile - With four shopping centers, world-renowned boutiques, and locally-acclaimed designers, you can shop till you drop in this shopper’s paradise known as the Magnificent Mile. No charge.
