Travel west to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Begin
your adventure by meeting fellow travelers at
a get-acquainted dinner this evening.
Day 2 Grand Teton Mountains / Jackson, WY (B)
The Grand Teton Mountains form the
background at your overnight stay in charming
Jackson, Wyoming. Evening at leisure.
Optional activities include:
#1 – Dinner and a lively “wild west” show at
the Bar-T-Five Chuckwagon Cookout.
#2 – A float trip on the Snake River.

Day 3 Sawtooth Mountains (CB)
See spectacular mountains and wild winding
rivers as you head through the majestic Sawtooth
Mountains of Idaho. Enjoy dinner and a
special presentation upon arrival at your hotel.
Day 4 Shoshone Falls / National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center (CB)
Marvel at the Shoshone Falls, one of Idaho’s
most magnificent sights and called by many
“the Niagara of the West”. At the National
Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in
Baker City, Oregon, take an in-depth look at
the hardships endured along the Oregon Trail.
Day 5 Columbia River Gorge / Mount Hood Railroad / International Rose Test
Gardens (L)
The day starts with a visit to the awe-inspiring
Columbia River Gorge. All aboard the
Mount Hood Railroad for a lunch and train
ride to Parkdale at the base of Mt. Hood.
Experience the splendid view of the city of
Portland, Oregon while visiting the International
Rose Test Gardens in Washington Park.
Day 6 Mt. Saint Helen’s National Volcanic Mountain Visitor’s Center / Space Needle
(CB, D)
Venture to the Mt. Saint Helen’s National Volcanic
Monument Visitor Center via a highway
that is considered an architectural wonder.
The Space Needle has been Seattle’s signature
structure since it was built for the 1962
World’s Fair. A special treat will be dinner
high atop Seattle in the Space Needle. Following
dinner go up to the Observation Deck
to marvel at the panoramic view of the Puget
Sound, the Cascade and Olympic Mountain
ranges and maybe even Mount Rainier.
Day 7 Seattle City Tour / Boeing Airline Manufacturing Plant Tour (CB)
Take a city tour of Seattle with an expert
guide to see the Hiram Chittenden Locks and Salmon Ladders, the Waterfront area, City Center, and Pikes Place Market. Tour the Boeing Airline Manufacturing Plant, the world’s largest building by volume, and witness airplanes being built for their worldwide base of airline customers.
Day 8 Lynden, WA / North Cascades National Park (CB, L)
Journey north towards the Dutch village of
Lynden, Washington. Enjoy this charming
town with its Dutch shops and boutiques,
windmills and more. Traveling through the
North Cascades National Park east towards
Winthrop, Washington, brings you to
another charming old town of the west all
dressed up in boardwalks.
Day 9 Grand Coulee Dam / Spokane City Tour (CB, D)
Called the 8th Wonder of the World, Grand
Coulee Dam is the largest electric producing
facility and largest concrete structure in the
United States. The visitor center tells the story
behind the construction of the dam to harness
the power of the great Columbia River. This
afternoon your local expert guide takes you on a
city tour of Spokane pointing out the interesting
highlights of the city. This evening, “boo
and hiss” at the 6th Street Melodrama, poking
fun at the silver mining era of the late 1890’s.
Day 10 Rocky Mountains / Smokejumpers Base Aerial Fire Depot (B)
Welcome to Montana – known for the
craggy peaks of the Rocky Mountains and
the expansive prairie grasslands earn it the
distinction of being named “Big Sky Country”.
At the Smokejumpers Base Aerial Fire
Depot in Missoula, learn firsthand accounts
of firefighting and smoke jumping.
Day 11 Little Bighorn National Monument / Tatanka: Story of the Bison / Mount
Rushmore (CB, D)
Take time to reflect on the last great Indian
victory at the Little Bighorn National Monument
before traveling to the Black Hills of
South Dakota. In Deadwood, experience
Kevin Costner’s Tatanka: Story of the Bison.
Its centerpiece is a larger-than-life bronze
sculpture featuring 14 bison being pursued
by three Native American riders. Top off the
day with a visit to Mount Rushmore for the
evening lighting ceremony.
Day 12 Travel Home (CB)
Great memories of your Pacific Northwest
trip will linger as you head home.
